Brownsword Events Club!
Here's what we do...
We organise a wide range of entertainment, events and activities at the Brownsword Hall in Pummery Square. There is no membership requirement, no joining fee and all events are offered at a price that all residents can afford. Moreover, any funds raised are used to help develop new facilities in the Brownsword Hall – so everyone’s a winner!
Coming along to BEC is a fantastic way of getting to know new people in Poundbury. It’s amazing just how welcoming everyone is to each other and the fact that there is no membership requirement means that you can simply dip in and out of different events as you please. Come by yourself, or come with friends – it makes no difference!
In most months, BEC organises at least one event, ranging from ever-popular Quiz Nights, to Jazz Nights, Talks, Treasure Hunts and Carol Singing, not forgetting the annual Poundbury 'Square' Dance in July.
Need a lift to and from a BEC event? We can usually arrange lifts for you - call Sue on 751815
Details of all BEC events are posted on noticeboards throughout Poundbury, along with quarterly information ‘flyers’ to all Poundbury addresses. Tickets for most events can be purchased in advance, (either through local shops or by email) or you can simply turn up on the night and take your chance.
