Coronavirus Update – 28th March 2021
In line with the Government's Roadmap out of lockdown, the Brownsword Hall will remain closed until we achieve Step 3 (no earlier than 17 May 2021) when gatherings of up to 30 people are allowed.
Brownsword Events is not planning to restart events in the Hall until we achieve Step 4 (no earlier than 21 June) when all legal limits on social contact will be removed.
We will continue to monitor Government guidance with a view to restarting our events in the hall as soon as the Government's guidance will allow it and we are able to provide a Covid Secure environment.
Brownsword Events provides regular social events and entertainment for the community. These activities are self funding from the sale of tickets. Brownsword
Events aims to raise funds for, or contributes to, improvements to the Brownsword Hall and its equipment, any monies made by our events are used solely to this effect.
Coming along to one of our events is a fantastic way of getting to know new people locally and from the west Dorset area. It’s amazing just how welcoming everyone is. Come by yourself, or come with friends – it makes no difference. In most months, we organise at least one event, ranging from the ever-popular Quiz Nights, to Musical Events and Talks.
Details of all our events are posted on the 'Forthcoming Events' page of this website and on noticeboards throughout Poundbury and Dorchester. Additionally, information is available in the Poundbury Magazine and from the Tourist Information Centre in Dorchester.
